Scout & Vessel: Embodied Field Presence in Paleophenomenological Practice
A one-day immersive workshop exploring internal dialogue, somatic perception, and ancestral encounter
Overview:
This one-day experiential workshop invites participants to step into unfamiliar territory, both outwardly and inwardly. Drawing from paleophenomenology, Jungian psychology, ethnographic methods, and embodied exploration, we will move from theory to direct, field-based practice.
Participants will investigate the tension between perception and presence by venturing into chosen locations, encountering the world as if for the first time. The aim is not to interpret or explain, but to attune, witness, and return transformed.
This one-day workshop invites you to explore the fundamental human impulse to create and leave a mark: an impulse that connects us across millennia. Grounded in paleophenomenology, it blends rigorous theory with embodied, experiential practice designed to awaken your senses and shift your perspective.
You will move through carefully crafted exercises that encourage deep engagement with your surroundings, whether that’s a quiet library, a vibrant street art wall, a peaceful garden, or a local museum. Each location becomes a living field site for discovery.
