A New Interdisciplinary Methodology :
After years of exploration and research, I’m thrilled to officially share the launch of #Paleophenomenology — a innovative interdisciplinary approach that I’ve had the privilege of defining and creating.
... but what is it?
#Paleophenomenology explores the emergence of consciousness in early humans [focusing particularly on Neanderthals due to my PhD research at Bangor University] through their interactions with landscapes, rock art, and material culture. It uniquely blends archaeology, anthropology, phenomenology, shamanism, and alchemy through the lenses of Jungian analysis and Hillman's alchemical psychology — bridging the material and metaphysical to offer fresh perspectives on how ancient peoples made sense of their world and experienced the unseen.
This new framework has profound implications for understanding human consciousness, symbolic meaning, and our deep connection to the natural world.
I’m beyond excited to continue expanding this research and invite conversations, collaborations, and opportunities to present this work! Whether through workshops, lectures, or discussions, I’m passionate about sharing paleophenomenology and its applications.
